Description

Henry writes a detailed itinerary of the regiment’s 8 days marches toward Winchester and back to Washington, and comments that they were given these orders because they are “good soldiers” and can be depended on, and now that they have saved Washington, they are ordered back to City Point without any rest in between. The men of the 10th Regiment think this is mean and hope the rebs will come back after they leave.
