I am the great, great grandson of James L. Bowen. My great, great, grandfather received on or about June 25, 1902 a letter from Commander William F Cody (Buffalo Bill). In that letter Cody references a Lyman Williams came to visit him to have his pension signed. Cody indicates he believed Lyman was in the same regiment as he, but could not remember him, "though furiously I tried". I am interested in any letters in which Lyman Williams mentions Willam Cody. I would also be interested in getting any copies of his civil war letters that are possible to get.
