This photo is reversed and should be turned around. It is taken above Bolton Falls hydro plant on the Winooski River at North Duxbury. It was taken about 1917. You can see the smoke from a train on the CVRR track. If the photo was correcting display and the train traveling to the left going south to Waterbury. The train has just passed North Duxbury or Ridley Station named for Samuel Ridley and revolutionary war soldier who built a hotel here. I have a number of correct post cards of this photo. The fram building in the photo are on the site of the homestead of Benjamin Davis and early settler of Duxbury which remained in his family to this day. Skip Flanders at wtbskip@comcast.net
