Rutland & Burlington Rail Road office Rutland October 7th 1858
Dear Sir,
I herewith transmit to you the report of the Trustees & managers of the Rutland & Burlington Rail Road, and full answers to the Questions you propounded; which I trust will be satisfactory. The reason they have not been made and forwarded before is, That the Trustees have been unable to procure the Accounts of other Roads with which the Rutland & Burlington Road has a joint freight and Passenger business
I enclose a statement of them that you may be able to see their extent.
I much regret the delay, but under the circumstances it was unavoidable
Very Respectfully
remain your Obt Svt.
