Dear Sir --
On my return from Boston this evening, I found yours of the 15th inst. & I hasten to reply -- While in the city I called on Mr Bufford who made the perspectives & he expressed a very confident opinion that it now represents the cupola as standing back over the center of the pediments, just where Mr. Richards proposed to place it -- Of this he would not be positive, but assured me he [...] ascertain if it was so drawn & inform me about it -- When I hear from him in relation to it, I will apprise you of his conclusions --
Yours in haste
T. E Powers note:Hon Geo. P. Marsh
