Dear Sir --
So far as I have heard opinions expressed among the members of the legislature in relation to the new design, they have been highly commendatory -- All seem pleased with it, & so far as I can judge, the work thus far on the House gives general satisfaction, & as yet I have seen no symptoms of opposition to the necessary appropriation--neither do I believe there will be much --
The tinted copies of the perspective of which you speak, I suppose I have, though they are but little changed from the plain ones -- I will send you one as you request --
In haste
T. E. Powers note:Hon. Geo. P. Marsh
