Dear Powers
Here are grape-cuttings of seven sorts sent me from America on the best improved varieties of the native vine. Plant them and water them, and let us hope that we and ours shall eat of the fruit thereof.
I send also butternuts, white oak acorns, white ash seeds, & walnuts. These shall shade our successors, hardly us.
The garden seeds, I hope, will thrive, & may be we shall enjoy the taste of them before another winter.
Yours truly
G P Marsh note:H. Powers Esq.
