Boston April 3..1858
Mr. Marsh,
I wrote to you yesterday in regard to the Montpelier work. Since mailing the letter I have decided to go to M. to-day. I will try and get this letter to you with the one named. Please answer it if you can do so, immediately and send to me at Montpelier by the first mail of Monday. Should you write to me I shall not use the information as coming from you officialy, but as your opinion, not naming (if you so direct) my authority. It is quite possible that I may be under the nessesity of going to see you at Burlington after I have been to M.
