Description
August 18, 1930. View looking west on construction completed at North Street and Elmwood Ave intersection. This is a five-point intersection that included Intervale Avenue. Street has been resurfaced covering the old trolley (cable) streetcar tracks. City dept. vehicle steam roller seen to the right. Louis N. Turner, druggist store to the left at the corner advertising candy and cigars. Also on the left is Bloomberg's Shoes at No. 191. To the right on the opposite corner is 202 North St location of Burlington Cut Price Shoe Shop and further down is a sign for Mazel's Dept Store at 194 North St.
