November 16, 1939. WPA (Work Projects Administration) Project No. 65-1-12-43 Views of Airport extension on north end of north-south runway. The right foreground shows recently mixed Bitumuls stabilized emulsion base with armor coat stone being placed in the background and grading of base on turning area at left preparatory to applying stabilizing emulsion.
