Description
June 19, 1941. Burlington Municipal Airport, WPA (Work Projects Administration) Project. This view is taken on the centerline of the proposed new diagonal runway at its northwesterly terminus where it intersects with the westerly boundary of the north-south landing area. The obstruction light pole in the center-foreground of the picture is approximately on the centerline of the proposed runway. The hard surface shown crossing the picture is the northerly end of the north-south runway.
