Description
January 12, 1942. Hayward Street Improvements: This view shows the drop-hammer weighing approximately 1 1/2 tons being operated by the crane to break through the frost in place of compressor and paving breakers. W.C. Kirby's power-shovel is loading the material into trucks. Three new catch basins were constructed on this intersection to replace the old one.
