These boys were members of the Rice Memorial High School first graduating class in 1959. I was also in this class. We began high school at Cathedral High School, and in our senior year, we moved to Rice. Left to right: Bobby LaMothe, Jack Sterzenberger, Bobby Halpin, Roger Vachereau, Roger Rainville, Eddie Mercaldo, Tommy Hayes, Tommy Luck.

Oops! I misspelled Jack's last name. It should have been Sturzenberger. Sadly, as far as I know, we have lost three of these guys. Robert Halpin, September 12, 1941 - May 16, 1998 (cancer). Dr. Jack Sturzenberger, October 18, 1941 - March 22, 2012 (rheumatoid arthritis) Edward Mercaldo, August 19, 1941 - November 19, 2013 (cancer). Posted July 14, 2014 by Monica Simon Farrington.
