Around 1895, Julius, his third wife Amy, and their children left Nebraska for the Union Soldiers’ Colony in Fitzgerald, Georgia. By 1900, Julius and Amy were divorced, and Amy and her stepson Louis were working as photographers in Thomasville, Georgia.

A skit of some sort seems to be in rehearsal on the grounds of Camp Marycrest by the front porch of the main building. Porch posts are decorated with crepe paper trim. The girls read from scripts. What appears to be a tape reel machine stands on a small table. Lake Champlain is seen in the background to the right. The camp was for girls and operated from 1957 to 1993 by the Sisters of Mercy in Grand Isle, Vermont. Undated but may be 1950s or 1960s. Photo #32.

A summer outdoor setting is the site for a pageant with an Egyptian theme. A "Pharoah" and "Queen" are in a semi-circle with others. Participants are dressed in costume with arms upraised in a salute. May be at a girls' camp but location is unknown as well as the date. May be 1920s or 1930s. Photo #3.
