I believe this is Rand's Crossing - about 1.5 miles south of Newfane on Rte. 30. If so, that is the beginning of the River Road downhill in the right background. My parents bought our home -"Grey Birches" - in 1939. It was up the hill to the left. Bought it from the family of Reverend Hayne of New Jersey. He had died there a couple of years earlier. Previously owned by Alvin Gates, a Civil War vet. We owned the place until 1988.
