Camp of 6th Regt.

Nov 18 ‘61

Dear Home,

As John has at last written, it will do for me to write hoping that he will not need to feel so much responsibility to make him write again. I am called up very early this morning by the first death in the regiment, that of Wm Fallon of Royalton who had the measles and was taken suddenly in the night with congestion of the lungs.

John and I are both well and get along very comfortably though quite busy. We have not been sick at all since we came ex- that John has had the tooth ache some

I must prepare for the funeral

It is sad.

Our meeting yesterday and all along have been better than I had anticipated.

Aff

Edward
