August 18, 1930. Caption reads "Prepairing [i.e. Preparing] road bed on North St at Champlain St prior to new construction." The Burlington Street Dept has torn up the old trolley (streetcar) tracks. To the left is drug store of Eugene Gosselin at 146 No. Champlain St. Across the street on the right is Vincent's Shoe Store at 144 No. Champlain.
