- Abstract: Albert Gottlieb was the Forester of the Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) camp in Waterbury, Vermont. In 1935, Deputy State Forester, Chairman of the Northeastern Forest Fire Protection Commission, State Forester of Vermont, Director of Vermont State Forest Department, Chairman of the Planning Commission for the State Forest Department, and Secretary of the Commission of Forest Conservation and Taxation. There is much useful information about the history and organization of the Vermont State Department of Forests and Parks and its various commissions, as well as about the specific career of a major figure in the history of this department. There are a great number of Forest Service related photographs in the collection.
