Background
The East Charlotte Baptist Church was organized in Charlotte, May 6,1807, by 19 members released from the church in Monkton, VT, for this purpose. In October of 1807, the church united with the Vermont Association convened in Bridport. In 1834 it united with the Addison Association.
Scope and Content
The collection comprises 15 folders in 2 boxes. The records span from 1882 to 1943. Box 1 contains records for the Horsford Library, the Laides Aid Society and the Women's Missionary Society. Box 2 contains church records on Sunday school, membership, general correspondence, et cetera.
