Letter from GEORGE PERKINS MARSH to HIRAM POWERS, dated September 13, 1861.
I beg leave to introduce to you Miss Anna Blackwell of Paris, an old an[d] intimate friend of Mrs Marsh, who is on her way to Florence to attend the Exposition.
Miss Blackwell is connected with the press, and both Mrs Marsh & myself will
feel much obliged to you for any advice or assistance you may be
able to give her.
We expected to have been at Florence on Sunday, but are disappointed, & I don't know when we can go
