I will write you a line to night, tho’ there is nothing in particular to write I suppose you will be glad to hear from us, us now Geo. is here, he arrived here all right last night, and says tell you he dont know when he shall get time to write. You need’nt worry about us for we are all well & having a good time, so far we have had a very easy time and the prospect is that we remain

here for some time. we moved from Camp Seward here a few days ago, we are now at Camp Vermont, on Hunters Creek, near Alexandria (2 or 3 miles) The boys are all in good health & all seem to enjoy it. Even Brink says he is getting to like it first rate. The boys say it seems as if they were not more than half a dozen miles from home.


I have recd but one letter from you since I left Brattleboro. This seems rather different from what it did last year when I was in camp. Geo. says if the folks could only see us & know how we got along, they would not worry half so much about us as they do. I will write no more tonight for I

dont know what to write but as I have said before anything that you wish to know ask the question as you used to do. –


I have all of $2.00 left in pocket, dont know when when I shall get more, probarbly sometime if our dear old Uncle Sam dont fail & it looks very much as if the old fellow was kittin hard up. –
