We were paid of yesterday I will send you 12 dollars in this sheet of paper. I shall send my letter tomorrow. One of our men stands tied up to a tree awaiting a Courtmartia l I had to help tie him such duty is not very pleasant. Colonel Tompki ns has resigned. Gene Blake is going home as soon as he gets well in gaining now I will try to send the Gun by him the boys must not be disapoin ted if they do not get it. they must not expect it is a very nice one and if you get it be carefull not get hurt with it I shall write to Father tomorrow I am will and hope you all the same
